Profile:

Chris joined Chambers in 2019 upon completion of pupillage with Mr. Lawrence Lok SC, Mr. Osmond Lam, Mr. Martin Wong, Mr. Eugene Yim and Mr. Valentine Yim.

Chris is developing a broad criminal and civil practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.  He has appeared in the Magistrates’ Courts, District Court, High Court and the Court of Final Appeal either as a sole advocate or led junior.

On the criminal side, Chris has experience in cases involving dangerous drugs, offences against the person, immigration offences, traffic offences and public order offences.  On the civil side, he has experience in matrimonial, land, personal injury and general contractual matters.

Chris accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.  He is fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.  He is capable of providing written submissions and conducting hearings in both English and Chinese.

Notable Cases:

HKSAR v Chan Siu Tan (2020) 23 HKCFAR 153 –
Acted for the appellant in his leave to appeal regarding the admissibility of video recorded material. (Led by Mr. Edwin Choy SC and with Mr. Philip Wong)

HKSAR v Wong Chi Fung [2020] 2 HKLRD 56 –
Acted for the applicant for variation of bail conditions.  Argued whether an applicant can make a renewed bail application before a different judge relying on the same ground which has already been considered and rejected by another judge without a material change of circumstances. (Led by Mr. Martin Lee SC and with Mr. Jeffrey Tam)
