Jeffrey Sham read Law at the University of Surrey from 2005 to 2008, completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at the University of Hong Kong in 2009 and was called to the Bar in March, 2010. He is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator, a Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (‘HKIArb’) Panel Mediator, a Qianhai Court Mediation Centre Panel Mediator, a Fellow of the HKIArb and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (‘CIArb’).
沈智輝大律師於2005年至2008年在英國薩里大學修讀法律；2009年在香港大學考獲法學專業證書；並於2010年3月獲認可為香港執業大律師。沈智輝大律師同時是英國CEDR認可調解員、香港仲裁司學會註冊調解員、深圳前海合作區人民法院訴調中心調解員、香港仲裁司學會資深會員及英國特許仲裁司學會會員。
From 2009 to 2010, Jeffrey served pupillage with Mr. Horace Wong S.C., Mr. Osmond Lam, Mr. Edwin Choy and Mr. Damian Wong. After attaining full practice, he has continued to gain vast experience in both civil and criminal work. Jeffrey appears regularly in all levels of court in Hong Kong as advocate in his own right or as junior counsel.
於2009年至2010年，沈大律師跟隨黃旭倫資深大律師、林國輝大律師、蔡維邦大律師及王振強大律師擔任大律師學徒。取得大律師專業資格後，沈大律師不斷在民事及刑事案件中獲得廣泛經驗。沈智輝大律師定期都會在香港各個級別法院中個人或與其他大律師一同處理案件。
Jeffrey was appointed as Deputy Magistrate in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023. During the terms, Jeffrey has tried all sorts of criminal and summons cases in the Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts including but not limited to commercial fraud cases, industrial summons cases, traffic summons and other general criminal cases such as sexual offences, assault cases and theft cases etc.
沈智輝大律師於2021、2022及2023年曾獲委任為暫委裁判官。他在任內於九龍城裁判法院處理各類型刑事及傳票案件，包括但不限於商業刑事案、工業傳票案、交通傳票案以及性罪行、暴力罪行及盜竊案等其他各類型刑事案件。
Apart from litigation work, Jeffrey is regularly appointed as mediator in all kinds of disputes. Jeffrey is also a co-author of L. Ma, M. Lower and J. Sham Principles of Equity and Trusts Law in Hong Kong, 2nd edition: LexisNexis and a Contributor of Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong Equity & Estoppel Chapters, 2nd edition: LexisNexis.
除了訴仲案件意外，沈智輝大律師也會定期在不同類型的糾紛被委任為調解員。他亦是 L. Ma, M. Lower and J. Sham Principles of Equity and Trusts Law in Hong Kong, 2nd edition: LexisNexis 的作者並協助Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong Equity & Estoppel Chapters, 2nd edition: LexisNexis 改版。
Jeffrey currently serves as a member of the Board of Review (Inland Revenue Ordinance) and the convener of the Advisory Panel on Licensing of Hotels and Guesthouses. He used to be a Council Member of the HKIArb, Vice-Chairperson of the Young Members Group of the East Asia Branch of the CIArb and a member of the Greater China Affairs Standing Committee of the Hong Kong Bar Association (“HKBA”). Outside of work, he is also the Vice-president of the Hong Kong University Alumni Association, the leader of the HKBA Singing Group; a member of the HKBA Table Tennis Team and Chairman and Conductor of the University of Hong Kong Law Alumni Choir.
沈智輝大律師現為稅務上訴委員會委員及民政事務總署旅館牌照簽發諮詢小組召集人。他亦曾擔任香港仲裁司學會理事會委員、英國特許仲裁司學會(東亞分會)青年事務委員會副主席及香港大律師公會大中華事務常委會成員。工作以外，沈大律師是香港大學校友會副主席、大律師公會歌唱小組的指揮、公會乒乓球球隊成員及香港大學法律畢業生會合唱團的主席及指揮。
Jeffrey is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
