PROFILE:
Max is developing a broad criminal and civil practice with experience in handling matters involving dishonesty offence, sexual offence, offence against the persons, white-collar crimes, commercial, land, trust and probate, family and mental health. He is a Middle Temple Scholar.
Max has appeared as an advocate in his own right in the Court of Appeal, the Court of First Instance, the District Court / Family Court and the Magistrates Court.
Max received his training at the Department of Justice. He was attached to the Commercial Crime Unit (CCU) of the Prosecutions Division, tasked to advice on prosecutorial decisions. He also served as a marshall to the Honorable Madam Justice Remedios, and attended a 25-day trial involving a charge of “Conspiracy to Murder”. He also served pupillage with Mr. Edwin Choy SC. He now acts as a prosecutor-on-fiat for the Department of Justice.
Additionally, Max is currently a part-time lecturer for Criminal Law in the Department of Law of the University of Hong Kong.
Max accepts instructions in all areas of work. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
蘇昊義大律師的執業範疇覆蓋刑事及民事案件，其中包括不誠實罪行、性罪行、侵害人身罪行、商業罪案、商業、土地、信託及遺囑認證、家事及精神健康的相關事宜。蘇大律師曾獲中殿律師學院獎學金。
蘇大律師曾獨自處理上訴法庭、原訟法庭、區域／家事法庭及裁判法院的案件。
在開展私人執業之前，蘇大律師於律政司出任見習律政人員（大律師），期間他於刑事檢控科的商業罪案組負責就檢控決定提供法律意見。他亦曾擔任高等法院法官李素蘭法官的法庭助理，並在此期間出席了一宗為期25天「串謀謀殺」的審訊。此外，他師承蔡維邦資深大律師。現時他亦被委為律政司外聘檢控官。
此外，蘇大律師現於香港大學法學院擔任刑事法的兼職講師。
